With three decades of professional experience, she has dedicated her career to fostering inclusive environments where young people can thrive. Her leadership extends beyond her professional roles, as she is also the Founder & CEO of Strong Women Strong Lives and a recognized advocate for racial equity and reconciliation.
April's passion for education stems from her own experience in an all-girls learning environment, where she cultivated the confidence, discipline, and leadership skills that shaped her future. As Board Chair, she is committed to ensuring that every student receives the same opportunity to excel. She believes in the power of education to unlock potential and is dedicated to supporting initiatives that equip young women with the tools they need to succeed.
As the product of an all-girls education from the 6th to 12th grade, I am extremely grateful for having the opportunity to mature in that environment. My love for learning, disciplined study habits, and leadership capabilities were all cultivated in a place just like the one that GALS, Inc. offers. As a lifelong learner, I believe in the power of education and I know that it can be the key to unlocking one's future. As an active Board Member, my mission is to be a support in whatever way can help each girl become the person they are destined to be.
