A visionary leader in education, Liz Wolfson founded Girls Athletic Leadership Schools (GALS) in 2008 with a mission to create an innovative learning environment where girls could develop confidence, leadership, and academic excellence through Whole-Bodied Education. She played a pivotal role in launching the first GALS school in Denver, securing funding, developing the strategic plan, and laying the foundation for a nationwide movement. Her dedication to empowering young women through education has had a lasting impact, inspiring schools across the country to adopt a holistic approach that integrates movement, leadership, and academic achievement.


Liz's career spans both corporate and nonprofit sectors, where she has worked alongside CEOs and philanthropists to bring visionary projects to life. Her expertise in organizational behavior and leadership development has fueled her commitment to creating equitable educational spaces where students thrive. With a background in competitive athletics, she understands the powerful connection between physical activity and cognitive growth, shaping the core philosophy behind GALS. She remains a driving force in the expansion of the GALS model, ensuring that future generations of young women have access to transformative educational experiences.
